Seven English archers made their way to Lignano in Italy for the 2nd European Masters Games 10th to 20th September. In the Qualification rounds Linda Haines and Linda Unwin were seeded 2 and 3 respectively in the W50 recurve category, Jane Burnham seeded 3 in the W60 recurve. Sheila Harris was seeded 1 in the W60 compound with Susan Bredin seeded 1 in the W50.  For the  Compound men Terry Course made it to 3rd missing 2nd place on the number of 10s  35 to 36, David Sleeman was ranked 25 in the M50 compound division.

For the Head to Head finals  Sheila Harris, Linda Haines and Susan Bredin all won the Gold medal Match,  Jane Burnham  took silver and Linda Unwin came 4th in her match.  Terry lost the Bronze to Dario Mulliri of Italy 138 to 136 points. 

England finished 4th in the medal table with 3 golds and 1 silver, Italy 1st, Sweden and Finland 2nd equal.
